Chestnut honey

Dark color (deep brown). The odor is often described as pungent and very strong. Not particularly sweet, on the contrary it has a peculiar bitterish aftertaste, it is sought after precisely for this characteristic which is well suited to accompany aged cheeses.
It remains naturally liquid for a very long time. It hardly crystallizes thanks to the greater presence of fructose compared to glucose. In case of crystallization, this occurs slowly and not always homogeneously.
